We were invited to work alongside designer Jaco to transform this space for the well known Fringe event organisers Gilded Balloon at the well-established Paradise Palms bar. With the Fringe Festival 2025 kicking off in early August, the project came with a tight deadline.

Our team carried out an extensive refit of the space, including the manufacture of a bespoke solid timber and wood veneer bar, finished with a rich French polish. Custom seating was created in a classic pub style, reimagined with a contemporary twist to balance heritage and modern character.

The design also incorporates striking modern details such as copper-effect paintwork, red-and-white checked floor tiles, and mirrored wall panels that reflect light and open up the room.

Externally, the bar was refreshed with new paint and signage inspired by iconic Edinburgh boozers, tying the look seamlessly to its surroundings.

The entire space was carefully curated in collaboration with Jaco to feel authentically traditional, while adding subtle modern touches to complement the atmosphere of this much-loved venue.
