We were invited up to Aberdeen to work with Gordon Highlanders to refresh their visitor centre. The two main aims of this project were to create a warm welcome for visitors and make an immersive educational experience.

The first part of the project was to upgrade their welcome area. We created an on brand, light and airy space to welcome visitors and set the tone for the rest of their experience. This area now includes a new purpose-built introduction area where people of all ages can sit and enjoy a cinema experience. This was designed to be both fun and educational for people of all ages to fully understand the history of the Gordon Highlanders before entering through into the Grants room.

The second part of the project was a full refurbishment of the Hamilton room. We here brought on board to work closely with the client and the lead design team to come up with a modern yet in keeping design for new interactive display cases.

Each case is temperature and moisture controlled and completed with UV protection safety glass doors. The new cases enable the exhibition to attract more high-profile attractions into the gallery.
